Soft washing has revolutionized the roof and exterior cleaning industry by allowing more carefully metered chemical solutions to be applied to building surfaces for the benefit of cleaning that surface chemically without pressure.
The UK has a wet climate and algae, fungi mold & mildew are common place across the exterior areas of our homes and places of work. The standard practice to clean these buildings has mainly been to pressure clean and then paint over the dirt and growth.
This method has caused irreversible damage to the exterior building and surfaces, a pressure washer simply erodes the surface when used at high pressure close to the surface it also drives the spores deeper in and increases the spread and growth of algae and fungi.
The only reason to use a pressure washer on external buildings and their surrounding areas such as pathways etc is to remove the top layer of algae bloom.
